Briand-Kellogg Pact ratified

On 6 February 1929 with 288 to 127 votes the Reichstag in Berlin ratifies the Briand-Kellogg Pact on outlawing wars of aggression under international law. In August of the previous year in Paris, 15 nations had signed the accord. It had been initiated by the French foreign minister Aristide Briand and his American colleague Frank Billings Kellogg.
