Consolidation of Broadcasters

The building of the Ministry for Propaganda at the Wilhelmplatz in Berlin before it's alteration in 1934

On 28 March 1934 the respective broadcasting companies of the Reich states are all placed under the control of Joseph Goebbels' „Ministry for Public Information and Propaganda“. This completes the „consolidation“ of broadcasting in Germany, making it the National Socialists' most important means of propaganda since an increasing number of German households own a „people's radio receiver“.
