Karl Radek

In a speech before the Communist International (Komintern), German communist Karl Radek characterises the national socialist Albert Leo Schlageter, who had been executed by the French in May, as a „courageous counter revolutionary“. Schlageter had had to answer for acts of sabotage against allied occupation troops in the Ruhr District. In his speech Radek goes so far as to call for a „bridge between left-wing and right-wing radicalism“.
