German entry to the League of Nations fails
In the late 1925 „Treaty of Locarno,“ Germany had been granted membership in the League of Nations and a permanent seat on the League of Nations Council. However, on 17 March 1926 in Geneva, negotiations on admitting the German Reich collapse. Delegates were unable to reach an agreement on the size and composition of the future League of Nations Council.
