Law of Parliamentarisation

On 28 October 1918, the Reichstag adopts the „Law of Parliamentarisation“. From now on the government no longer depends on the confidence of the Kaiser but only on the consent of parliament.

Delivered sailors in front of the prison in Wilhelmshaven

On the same day a mutiny breaks out among the sailors of the high seas fleet in Wilhelmshaven. It had become known that, despite ongoing cease fire negotiations with the allies, the German navy was expected to embark in late October 1918 on a „final honourable engagement“ against the vastly superior British navy. More than 1,000 sailors are arrested.
