Swastika banner becomes official Reich flag

On 19 June 1936 the National Socialists officially declare the swastika banner to be the new flag of the Reich. After the Nazis’ 1933 „seizure of power“, the black-red-gold banner of the Weimar republic was first replaced by the flag of the Imperial Reich (black-white-red).
